The Virginia State Police are seeking assistance in locating 22-year-old Jaden L. Wade, who has been missing since Wednesday morning. Wade was last seen leaving his home in Grottoes on a green and black 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle. He may be in or near the Shenandoah National Park area, and his safety is a concern. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Virginia State Police.

The search for a missing Virginia man, Mateo Luis Cobo Zevallos, was suspended after human remains were found in Shenandoah National Park. The body is believed to be Zevallos, who was last seen leaving his home on May 5. His car was found in a parking lot in the park, and search teams found human remains about 1.6 miles away. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

The body of missing George Mason University student Mateo Cobo Zevallos was found by search crews in Shenandoah National Park near rock outcrops nearly two miles from where his car was parked. Zevallos was reported missing on May 6 and his car was found in a parking lot that serves the popular Overall Run Falls Trail. The trails in the Overall Run area that were closed for the search have since reopened. The body is being transported to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Manassas for positive identification and determination of cause of death.

A severe geomagnetic storm brought vibrant, bright auroras as far south as Arizona, California, Oklahoma, Iowa, New Mexico and North Carolina. The auroras were particularly vivid at higher latitudes, where they could be seen with the naked eye, even near cities in some instances. Some also reported a newly discovered light phenomenon known as STEVE, short for Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement. The activity comes on the heels of a recent slew of beautiful aurora activity.
