The European Space Agency conducted a successful long-duration static-fire test of an Ariane 6 prototype, bringing the rocket one step closer to its inaugural launch. The test, which lasted 7 minutes, mimicked a full burn of the core stage on an actual launch. Following a final hot-fire test of the upper stage in December, the agency will announce a launch date for the first Ariane 6.
