
"Northern Gulf Coast Braces for Severe Weather and Tornado Threat"
The Storm Prediction Center has issued an Enhanced Risk for severe storms in Northwest Florida and a Moderate Risk in Southwest Alabama on Wednesday, with potential threats of damaging winds, tornadoes, and hail. The storms are expected to move into Southwest Alabama around noon and Northwest Florida by 2 p.m., lasting through 10 p.m. Another concern is the flood risk due to expected 2-4" of rain with locally higher amounts. Residents are advised to have multiple ways to receive warnings and to avoid driving through flooded roads.
