US Greenlights Military Contractors for Ukraine Deployment
The Biden administration has lifted a ban on American military contractors deploying to Ukraine to maintain and repair US-provided weapons systems, such as F-16 fighter jets and Patriot air defense systems. This policy change aims to expedite the repair process by allowing contractors to work directly in Ukraine, away from the front lines, rather than transporting damaged equipment to other countries. The decision, made after a risk assessment, marks a significant shift in US policy towards supporting Ukraine's military capabilities against Russia.
