The Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) celebrated 60 years since NASA began observing the cosmos at their location in Transylvania County with an open house event. In addition to museum galleries and planetarium shows, PARI offered hands-on experiences for visitors, including the opportunity to hold a piece of the moon.
