Firefly Aerospace Secures Multiple NASA Contracts for Lunar Missions

Firefly Aerospace has won a $112 million NASA contract to deliver the Lunar Pathfinder satellite and two experiments to the Moon in 2026. The Lunar Pathfinder will serve as a communication relay between the Moon and Earth. One of the experiments, LuSEE-Night, will make radio observations of the "dark ages" period in universal history. Firefly's Blue Ghost spacecraft will launch the Lunar Pathfinder and then send a lander to the Moon's surface to deliver the experimental payload. Firefly plans to collaborate with another launch partner for this lunar mission, and its Medium Launch Vehicle is being co-developed with Northrop Grumman.
