Former Delta co-pilot indicted for threatening to shoot captain during commercial flight, officials say
A former Delta co-pilot, Jonathan Dunn, has been federally indicted for allegedly threatening to shoot the captain of a commercial flight last year if the plane was diverted due to a passenger's potential medical emergency. The incident occurred on an August 2022 flight, but the airline and specific details were not disclosed. Dunn, who was authorized to carry a gun as part of the TSA's Federal Flight Deck Officer program, has been removed from the program. He is scheduled to be arraigned on November 16.
