8BitDo has released a mod kit that can make an old Nintendo 64 controller wireless and compatible with Switch and Android. The kit costs $39.99 and includes a mod kit, a hall effect joystick, and a rumble pack that doubles as a rechargeable battery. The mod kit and rumble pack can be purchased separately for $29.99, and the hall effect joystick can be purchased for $19.99. However, the old components must be put back in to use the controller with an N64.

8Bitdo has launched a cheaper version of its Ultimate Controller, the Ultimate C 2.4G Wireless Controller, priced at $30. The gamepad connects wirelessly using an included 2.4GHz USB dongle and is compatible with Windows, Android, Steam Deck and Raspberry Pi. The simplified version skips the charging dock and profile-toggling switch from the more expensive variants and doesn't support the company's Ultimate Software for customizations. The gamepad can last up to 25 hours of playtime and recharge fully in two hours.
