Sleeping with earbuds may pose risks such as pressure on the ear canal, potential hearing loss from prolonged exposure to high volume, and difficulty hearing emergencies with noise-cancelling earbuds. However, these risks are generally small. In regards to CREST syndrome, an autoimmune disease that falls under the umbrella of systemic sclerosis, it can affect multiple organs and has symptoms including calcium deposition in the skin, color changes and pain in extremities upon exposure to coldness, swallowing disorders, hardening of the skin in the fingers, and dilated blood vessels in the skin. Treatment depends on the organs involved and symptoms experienced, and it is recommended to consult with a rheumatologist for diagnosis and treatment options.

Australian cricketer Marnus Labuschagne was caught sleeping in the dressing room during the ICC World Test Championship Final. He has now revealed that he was just resting his eyes and trying to calm his nerves. Labuschagne quickly walked out to bat at No. 3 after being awakened by the crowd's noise when opener David Warner got dismissed. Despite being struck multiple times on the gloves, Labuschagne reached 41* at the close of play and helped Australia to a strong position ahead of day four.
