Dragon Tattoo TV Series Lands at Sky From Crown-Backed Team

Sky is moving forward with an eight-part The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo TV series from Left Bank Pictures, a contemporary reimagining of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium novels. The project will be written and executive produced by Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna, with Left Bank’s Andy Harries, Charlotte Moore, John Phillips and Sky’s Sam Hoyle as executive producers. Production is set to begin in Lithuania in spring, with Sony Pictures Television handling international distribution and pre-sales in the United States. The show will premiere on Sky in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Comcast and Sky Secure Global Distribution Deal with Warner Bros. Discovery

Comcast's Sky has withdrawn its lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery after the two companies reached a new global distribution agreement. The lawsuit, filed in September, accused Warner Bros. Discovery of breaching a five-year output deal by not providing enough programming, particularly concerning a planned HBO Harry Potter series. The new deal allows Comcast to include Warner Bros. Discovery's content in its Xfinity and Sky UK and Ireland offerings, strengthening their distribution relationship.
