Sky greenlights eight-episode Dragon Tattoo TV series

Sky has commissioned an eight-episode TV adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo from Left Bank Pictures, with Steve Lightfoot and Angela LaManna writing and exec producing. The project, described as a Sky Original, will bring the Millennium story into the present and centers on Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander. Sony Pictures Television will handle international distribution, with pre-sales underway in the US; Sky will broadcast in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
