Ubisoft's Bold Reorg Nixes Prince of Persia Remake and Reshapes Studio Network
Ubisoft announced a major restructuring to refocus on large open‑world and live‑service games, canceling the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake and six other titles, while shuttering studios in Halifax and Stockholm and restructuring others (Abu Dhabi, RedLynx, Massive). Seven games are delayed, including an unannounced project. The company will organize development into five Creative Houses, backed by a Creative Network, and is accelerating investments in player‑facing Generative AI, with plans to bring staff back to the office five days a week.
