The National Transportation Safety Board (N.T.S.B.) revealed that a preliminary report indicates that four bolts securing a panel on an Alaska Airlines plane were removed and not replaced at Boeing's factory, potentially leading to the panel blowing off during a flight. The panel, known as a door plug, was opened for repairs, and a photograph showed three of the four bolts missing after reinstallation. Boeing is facing scrutiny as it works to address the aftermath of the midair incident.
Kraft Heinz has recalled approximately 84,000 cases of Kraft Singles cheese slices due to a choking hazard. The company received complaints of plastic film sticking to the cheese even after removing the wrapper, resulting in six instances of choking or gagging. The issue was caused by a manufacturing error in the wrapping machine, which has since been fixed. Customers are advised not to consume the affected products and to return them to the store of purchase. No injuries or health issues have been reported.
Honda is recalling over 330,000 vehicles produced since 2020 due to a manufacturing error that can cause the side-view mirrors to fall off. The affected models include the 2020-2022 Odyssey, Passport, Pilot, and Ridgeline. Honda dealers will replace the mirrors free of charge. This comes after Honda issued a separate recall for nearly 500,000 vehicles due to faulty seat belts that may fail to properly restrain the seat occupant during a crash.
