NASA has launched the 2023 Eclipse Explorer, an interactive map that allows users to track the annular solar eclipse on October 14, 2023, down to the exact second. The map features dynamic layers showing the coverage of the Sun, outlines of areas with the highest duration of annularity, and the path of the shadow. Users can scrub through time, access city information, and countdown to the moment of maximum coverage. The Eclipse Explorer was developed by NASA's Scientific Visualization Studio and will be used in the live broadcast of the eclipse.
