Meta has introduced a new developer feature called Super Resolution for its Quest VR headset, aimed at improving the visual quality of VR apps and games. Super Resolution offers better quality upscaling at similar costs as previous techniques, using an edge-aware scaling and sharpening algorithm developed in collaboration with the Qualcomm Graphics Team. Developers can opt-in to the feature, but its benefits will vary depending on the content.
