Iran has built an extensive espionage network inside Israel, involving dozens of Israeli citizens recruited to gather intelligence, conduct surveillance, and carry out sabotage and assassination plots, with cases uncovered across the country since last year.
Polish authorities conducted searches related to a suspected Russian spy network, with the Czech Republic providing intelligence. The network aimed to implement Kremlin's foreign policy objectives, including weakening Poland's position and discrediting Ukraine and the EU. Czech authorities added pro-Kremlin Ukrainian politicians and a Prague-based news website to its sanctions list, uncovering Russian-funded influence activities in Europe. The German Interior Ministry emphasized the need to investigate and prevent such influence operations.
Poland has broken up a spy network operating in the country, according to the defence minister. Private broadcaster RMF FM reported that a group of spies working for Russia had been detained, with the group suspected of planning sabotage activities. The six people arrested were from countries to the east of Poland and were working for Russian intelligence. The spies had hidden cameras on important railway routes, mainly in the southern Podkarpackie region.
