"SpaceX's Intuitive Machines Moon Lander Launch Delayed by Technical Glitch"

Intuitive Machines' Nova-C moon lander, named Odysseus, is set to launch to the moon after a technical glitch postponed the initial attempt. If successful, it will be the first American spacecraft to softly land on the moon since 1972 and the latest private effort in lunar exploration. Executives at Intuitive Machines express confidence in the spacecraft's extensive testing, despite previous private lunar lander failures.

College Students to Launch First Private American Rover to the Moon

A team of university students from Carnegie Mellon University is set to launch the first privately-made lunar rover, Iris, onto the Moon's surface on May 4th. Weighing just 2 kilograms, the rover will demonstrate its technology and take scientifically-relevant images. The team will work in shifts to monitor the rover's progress and health during its 60-hour mission. Iris will be the first civilian team to put a rover on the Moon and the smallest and lightest rover ever deployed. It will be carried to the Moon aboard a United Launch Alliance "Vulcan Centaur" rocket alongside a multi-purpose payload.

Japanese Moon Lander Captures Stunning Lunar Image Ahead of Historic Landing

The Hakuto-R spacecraft, built and operated by Japanese company ispace, has sent back a stunning image of the moon's surface following its arrival in lunar orbit on March 20. The private lander is expected to make its attempt to land safely on the moon around the end of April, which would make Japan the fourth country to have a spacecraft soft land on the moon and the first privately operated spacecraft to do so. Hakuto-R also carries the tiny Rashid rover for the United Arab Emirates' space agency.
