A Southwest Airlines plane's engine caught fire before takeoff at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, but the passengers were unharmed. An American Airlines flight bound for Dallas-Fort Worth experienced a mechanical issue and caught fire on the runway at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport.
