Gas Prices: California No Longer the Most Expensive State in the US

California's average gas price of $4.797 on Thursday was not the highest in the nation, with Washington taking the top spot at $4.871 per gallon. Mississippi has the cheapest regular gas in the country at $3.010 per gallon. However, analysts warn that securing crude supplies could delay achieving full production this year, as Nigeria's oil production has been declining due to oil theft, pipeline vandalism, and underinvestment.
