Frost Advisory Alerts for Various Regions.

A frost advisory covers more than half of Lower Michigan tonight, with temperatures dropping to freezing in the coldest spots. The heaviest frost will be in the Thumb, eastern Saginaw County, Genesee County, Oakland County, and the northeast side of Detroit. Vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, pumpkins, green beans, and basil will be killed by 32 degrees for a couple of hours. Gardeners are advised to cover their frost-killed plants with an old blanket or buckets.
