E. Coli Outbreak Prompts Recall of Organic Carrots Across Multiple States
An E. coli outbreak linked to organic carrots from Grimmway Farms has sickened 39 people across 18 states, including seven in New York and New Jersey, and resulted in one death in California. The affected carrots, sold under various brand names like Whole Foods' 365 and Trader Joe's, have been recalled. Consumers are advised to discard these products and sanitize any surfaces they contacted. The CDC warns that the actual number of cases may be higher, as many recover without medical care.
