Mismatched Phytoplankton and Zooplankton: Climate Warming and Eutrophication Impact
Climate warming and eutrophication can lead to a stoichiometric mismatch between phytoplankton and zooplankton in aquatic ecosystems. When these stressors act individually, the mismatch increases due to the increased nutrient demand of zooplankton.
