The James Webb Space Telescope has detected three of the universe's earliest galaxies forming from a primordial cloud of hydrogen and helium gas just 400 to 600 million years after the Big Bang, offering new insights into the era of reionization when the first stars and galaxies began to illuminate the cosmos.
