"The Cow": The Strangest and Flattest Explosion in Space

Scientists have discovered a rare Fast Blue Optical Transient (FBOT) explosion, dubbed "the cow," that occurred 180 million light-years away and was flatter than any other star explosion ever seen. The explosion was about the size of Earth's solar system and unleashed particles flying at 10% of the speed of light. Researchers believe the explosion could have happened due to the stars creating a disc shape just before they died or the star collapsing into a black hole and eating the rest of its formation.
