"Enormous Sun Hole Threatens Earth with Solar Storm"

Scientists have observed a massive coronal hole in the atmosphere of the Sun, measuring more than five times the diameter of Jupiter. This temporary region of cool, less dense plasma is releasing a forceful solar wind that is blasting through the Solar System. While the hole was pointed towards Earth a few days ago, resulting in a mild solar storm, experts believe it will soon rotate away from our planet. This occurrence is part of the Sun's regular cycle of activity, with solar maximum expected to take place in 2024. Although the recent coronal hole could lead to a geomagnetic storm, it has not been as powerful as initially anticipated.
