Axiom Space's Private Missions Pave the Way for Future Space Station

Axiom Space is preparing for its second private mission to the International Space Station (ISS) and applying lessons learned from its first mission. The Ax-2 mission will launch on May 8 with four astronauts spending 12 days on the ISS. Axiom plans to launch private crews to the ISS twice a year and is also building its own space station in low Earth orbit, with the first module set to launch in 2025. NASA recently signed a contract with Axiom for a third private mission to the ISS, and a fourth mission is still under consideration.
