"August Skywatching: Don't Miss the Spectacular Meteor Shower!"

NASA's skywatching tips for August include observing Saturn, the Perseid meteor shower, and a "super blue moon." Saturn will be visible after sunset and will be viewable beside the moon on August 3. The Perseid meteor shower, originating from comet Swift-Tuttle, will peak on August 12/13, with the best viewing time between midnight and dawn. August will also feature a blue moon on August 30, which is also a supermoon, occurring only once every 10 years on average.
