Revisiting the Age of the Universe: New Findings Challenge Previous Estimates

A recent paper by cosmologist Rajendra Gupta proposes a new model suggesting that the universe is more than 10 billion years older than previously believed, based on observations from the James Webb Space Telescope. However, the proposed model introduces significant complexity and new physics, and fails to explain numerous other observations that the current ΛCDM model can account for. Additionally, the new model does not address the paradoxical young appearance of the observed galaxies, nor the absence of older stars. While Gupta's model is interesting for exploring potential physics explanations, it falls short as a fully functioning cosmological model.
