A German woman, identified as Jennifer W., has lost her appeal of a 14-year sentence for allowing a 5-year-old Yazidi girl, whom she and her husband kept as a slave when they were members of the Islamic State group in Iraq, to die of thirst in the sun. The woman was convicted of crimes against humanity through enslavement, one case resulting in death, and membership in a terrorist organization abroad. The court rejected her appeal as "manifestly unfounded," and her former husband, an Iraqi citizen, was convicted of genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and bodily harm resulting in death and sentenced to life imprisonment.
A German court has sentenced a female ISIS terrorist, Nadine K., to 9 years and 3 months in jail for enslaving and abusing a Yazidi woman, Naveen Rasho. Nadine K. was found guilty of crimes against humanity, aiding and abetting genocide, and membership in a foreign terrorist organisation. Naveen Rasho was regularly raped by Nadine’s husband. Nadine K. and her husband willingly joined ISIS and adhered to radical ISIS rules in all aspects. Germany has now convicted three ISIS terrorists for crimes against Yazidis.
A German woman who joined the Islamic State (IS) group has been sentenced to nine years in jail for crimes including keeping a Yazidi woman as a slave. The defendant was also found guilty of crimes against humanity and membership of a foreign terrorist organisation. The court in Koblenz said the 37-year-old had abused the young Yazidi woman for three years while they lived in Syria and Iraq. There have been a number of trials in Germany recently involving former IS members accused of killing or abusing Yazidis.

The court found her guilty of crimes against humanity as well as aiding and abetting genocide. The presiding judge in the case said the accused had abused the Yazidi woman "for her own purposes as a household slave" for three years during her time with Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. Nadine K. is believed to have become radicalized during her studies in the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
