Costco is teaming up with Sesame, a healthcare marketplace, to offer its members in the U.S. access to a weight loss program for $179 every three months starting April 2. The program includes clinical consultation, the ability to choose a clinician, live video consultations, messaging with the clinician, nutritional guidance, and individualized treatment plans. Sesame also offers virtual health visits and mental health therapy through Costco, and may provide weight loss medication prescriptions when clinically appropriate. Sesame is available to consumers with or without Costco memberships, and primarily offers virtual care with some in-person options.
