Chevrolet has unveiled a special Collector's Edition trim to commemorate the end of the gas-powered Chevrolet Camaro's production. The 2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition features Panther Black Matte paint and will be offered across the 1LT, LT1 and SS coupe and convertible trims with Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint, satin black stripes and 20-inch satin black wheels. Chevrolet is aiming to become an all-electric brand by 2035, but will continue to produce V8-powered versions of the Corvette and its large trucks for the foreseeable future. The Camaro name may return on an electric vehicle, but Chevrolet has not announced any immediate successor. Prices for the Collectors Edition cars start at $39,440 for the 1LT, $47,385 for the LT1, $49,890 for the 1SS and $88,690 for the ZL1, the last of which is limited to just 350 cars.
Ford has increased the prices of its 2024 Mustang GT and Dark Horse V8 models due to a gas guzzler tax and "strong demand." The Mustang GT and GT Premium are up $1,000, while the Mustang Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium are up $1,300 and $1,400, respectively. The prices for several Dark Horse options have also increased. However, pricing on the Ecoboost models remains the same. The 2024 Ford Mustang is set to hit dealers this summer.
