As the electric vehicle (EV) revolution continues, tires remain largely unchanged, posing environmental and safety issues. However, several companies are working to reinvent tires for EVs. The Smart Tire Company is developing non-pneumatic tires using NASA technology, while The Tyre Collective aims to reduce tire pollution by capturing rubber particles. Tyromer has created a chemical process to recycle rubber quickly, Robotire offers automated tire changing services, and Treads provides a monthly subscription service for tires. Additionally, TyreFlow is working on integrating the entire tire recycling process, and Sailun has developed tires specifically designed for EVs, with lower rolling resistance and increased load-bearing capacity.
