"Fish Hook Scratch Leads to 55 Surgeries and Amputation Plea"
A UK woman, Michelle Milton, endured 55 surgeries and is now seeking amputation of her right leg after a scratch from a fishing line led to a severe infection that has left her in constant agony and resistant to antibiotics. Despite numerous procedures and treatments, including skin grafts and wound irrigation, the infection continues to spread, leaving her unable to live a normal life and care for her children. She is now advocating for amputation as a last resort to regain her quality of life.
