"Pittsburgh Gears Up for Snowstorm, Urges Caution on Roads"

Pittsburgh officials are urging residents to stay off the roads as a major snowstorm is expected to bring 4 to 6 inches of snow, with a depleted fleet of plows due to maintenance issues. Crews are preparing to clear streets, but only 50 to 55 trucks will be available at each shift. Residents are advised to work from home if possible and be cautious with on-street parking. Schwarzenegger's pothole repair efforts disputed by city.

California is facing an overwhelming number of potholes due to the harsh winter, and road crews are struggling to keep up with the backlog. Arnold Schwarzenegger and a group of bikers have taken matters into their own hands, filling potholes in their neighborhoods and inspiring others to do the same. The state Transportation Department has performed over 85,000 pothole repairs in the first quarter of this year, more than two and a half times the number in the first quarter of 2022. The problem has been attributed to the procession of winter storms that have battered the state since December, and the department that fills potholes needs more workers and has hundreds of job vacancies.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Takes Matters into His Own Hands and Fills LA Pothole.

Arnold Schwarzenegger filled a pothole on a California street after the whole neighborhood had been complaining about it for weeks. In a video he posted on Twitter, Schwarzenegger can be seen pouring blacktop repair patch onto the hole and spreading it with shovels. Despite the welcomed fix, it may not have actually been a pothole, but rather a service trench related to active, permitted work performed at the location. Los Angeles has been hit with a large influx of requests to repair damaged streets in recent months.
