Schwarzenegger's pothole repair efforts disputed by city.

California is facing an overwhelming number of potholes due to the harsh winter, and road crews are struggling to keep up with the backlog. Arnold Schwarzenegger and a group of bikers have taken matters into their own hands, filling potholes in their neighborhoods and inspiring others to do the same. The state Transportation Department has performed over 85,000 pothole repairs in the first quarter of this year, more than two and a half times the number in the first quarter of 2022. The problem has been attributed to the procession of winter storms that have battered the state since December, and the department that fills potholes needs more workers and has hundreds of job vacancies.
