"New Insights Reveal Titan's Dynamic Seas and Rivers"

A new study using bistatic radar data from the Cassini-Huygens mission has provided detailed insights into the composition and surface roughness of Titan's hydrocarbon seas. The research, led by Cornell University, found variations in the seas' dielectric constants and surface calmness, with indications of pure methane rivers mixing with ethane-rich seas. This analysis paves the way for further discoveries from Cassini's extensive data on Titan.

"Satellite Radar Reveals Weight and Movement of Massive A23a Iceberg"

Radar data from the European Space Agency's CryoSat-2 mission has helped scientists estimate that the world's largest iceberg, A23a, weighs nearly 1 trillion tons. A23a, which broke off from Antarctica in 1986, recently became dislodged and started drifting again. Its movement is uncertain, but it is expected to pass through an area known as "iceberg alley," affecting the ocean and ocean floor it travels over. Icebergs like A23a play a crucial role in fertilizing the ocean by churning seawater and bringing nutrients to the surface.

"Race to Find Meteorite for $25k Reward"

The Maine Mineral and Gem museum is offering a $25,000 reward for the first 2.2 lb (1kg) specimen of a meteorite that landed near the US-Canada border in April. The museum is also offering to buy any other pieces of meteorite rock recovered from the event. The meteorites are projected to have landed in an area by the US-Canada border between Waite, Maine and Canoose, New Brunswick. The museum said the cash prize will be open to both Canadians and Americans. The event was seen in broad daylight and Nasa spotted radar data of meteorites descending from the sky as the fireball was making its landing.
