USPS announces stamp price increase to 66 cents.

The US Postal Service has filed a notice to increase the price of first-class mail stamps from 63 cents to 66 cents, effective from July, to offset a rise in operating expenses. The hike would raise the cost of mailing a first-class letter by about 5.4%. The price of domestic and international postcards will also increase. The Postal Service has stated that the price adjustments are necessary to provide the agency with much-needed revenue.
