
Fatal Hit-and-Run at South Carolina Grocery Store Leads to DUI Charge
A 66-year-old South Carolina woman has been charged with felony DUI and hit-and-run after hitting and killing a 79-year-old woman in front of a grocery store in Oconee County. The victim died at the hospital an hour after being struck, and the driver, Lori Lynn Smith, left the scene but was later found. Smith is in the Oconee County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
