NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has issued a warning about a 250-foot asteroid, named 2023 GG, that is expected to pass dangerously close to Earth on April 11. The asteroid will pass within 0.946 million miles of Earth, travelling at a speed of 38102 kmph. NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies is responsible for monitoring all known near-Earth objects to assess their potential impact risk and is actively researching and planning for ways to prevent or minimize the impact of a potential collision if one were to be discovered.
