"Respected GP's 40-Year Career Marred by Controversial Anti-Vaxx Comments, Receives 6-Month Suspension"

She claimed that the pandemic was a media and government invention, vaccines were killing people, and tests and masks were being used as psychological weapons. The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service found that her comments had the potential to undermine public health advice and discourage people from getting vaccinated. While acknowledging her right to freedom of expression, the tribunal ruled that she had gone beyond acceptable limits and had caused alarm. Dr. McCloskey has 28 days to appeal the ruling.

Cancer grows more rapidly at night, which is why debilitating symptoms often occur so late. Sufferers should see their GP if they have unexplained pains anywhere in the body that have been persistent for three weeks or more.

Misdiagnosed with Anorexia, Woman Discovers Colon Cancer

A woman was diagnosed with colon cancer after GPs failed to spot "red flag" symptoms for over a year, with one suggesting she had anorexia. The GP practice did not carry out any tests for colon cancer, an investigation by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) has found. The PHSO said the symptoms "should have been red flags leading to urgent attention". If Miss Puplett had been referred in time, she would have had a planned keyhole procedure, rather than unnecessary emergency surgery and a stoma, the investigation found. The surgery was recommended to pay Miss Puplett £2,950 for its failures and put in place an action plan to prevent this from happening in the future.
