Smith, known for his role as Lloyd Pierce on "Yellowstone," has previously expressed anti-vaxx views and refused to attend the 2022 SAG Awards due to being unvaccinated.
Dr. Mary McCloskey, a GP with an unblemished 40-year career, has been suspended for six months due to "vitriolic" anti-vaxx comments she made in videos shared online. She claimed that the pandemic was a media and government invention, vaccines were killing people, and tests and masks were being used as psychological weapons. The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service found that her comments had the potential to undermine public health advice and discourage people from getting vaccinated. While acknowledging her right to freedom of expression, the tribunal ruled that she had gone beyond acceptable limits and had caused alarm. Dr. McCloskey has 28 days to appeal the ruling.
An Idaho woman is suing anti-vaxx advocate Dr. Ryan Cole for misdiagnosing her with endometrial cancer, leading to an unnecessary surgery. Cole has a history of misdiagnosing women and claiming that the COVID-19 vaccine causes cancer. Other women have also claimed that Cole has misdiagnosed them in the past. The woman and her husband are suing Cole and Cole Diagnostics for negligence and negligent infliction of emotional distress. Cole no longer runs Cole Diagnostics, but remains licensed in several states.
