Disney Cruise Ship Rescues 4 from Sinking Catamaran Near Bermuda
A Disney cruise ship, the Disney Treasure, rescued four people from a sinking catamaran named Serenity over 200 miles from Bermuda. The catamaran began flooding due to a seal failure around its escape hatch, prompting a distress call to the US Coast Guard. The Disney Treasure, en route from Europe to Florida for its maiden voyage, was the nearest vessel and successfully rescued the passengers. The ship's captain praised the crew's training and commitment to safety during the operation.
