Artemis plan refresh: NASA outlines Moon return with live briefings

NASA will host a day-long series of panels and briefings at its Washington, D.C. headquarters to outline updates to the Artemis program and accelerate America’s return to the Moon by 2028, with three livestreamed events starting at 9 a.m. ET: “Ignition: NASA’s Plan for the Moon,” followed by “Ignition: NASA’s Plan for Science and Discovery” and a 4:45 p.m. ET news conference. The briefings cover Artemis II (a Moon flyby around April 1), plus revised timelines for Artemis III (lunar-orbit rendezvous with private landers) and Artemis IV (targeted for 2027–2028). NASA officials and scientists—including Administrator Jared Isaacman, Amit Kshatriya, Dana Weigel, Carlos Garcia-Galan, Steve Sinacore, Nicola Fox, and Lori Glaze—are among the speakers.
