Artemis II Astronauts Prepare for Moon Mission with Successful Launch Day Demonstration

The Artemis 2 moon crew, consisting of NASA commander Reid Wiseman, NASA pilot Victor Glover, NASA mission specialist Christina Koch, and the Canadian Space Agency's Jeremy Hansen, conducted a launch simulation at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in preparation for their upcoming moon mission. The crew donned spacesuits, drove to the launch pad, and climbed the mobile launcher that will eventually bring them inside the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft. This rehearsal helps prepare the team for the operations needed for the historic moon launch, which will be the first with humans onboard in 50 years.
