UAE's MBR Explorer to embark on historic mission to asteroid belt.

The United Arab Emirates Space Agency has announced plans to send a spacecraft to explore the main asteroid belt, with the aim of studying various asteroids and potentially discovering clues to the origins of life on Earth. The spacecraft, named MBR Explorer, will be developed over six years and launched in 2028, with a landing craft deployed onto a rare "red" asteroid that may hold insight into the building blocks of life. The mission is a significant milestone for the UAE Space Agency, following the success of its Amal probe to Mars in 2020.
