"SpaceX Launches Intuitive Machines' Moon Mission: A Valentine's Day Doubleheader"

SpaceX is set to launch the Intuitive Machines (IM) IM-1 mission, carrying the first of the IM Nova-C class landers, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Feb. 14. If successful, IM-1 will mark the first commercial and American spacecraft to land on the Moon in over 50 years. The mission is designed to support NASA’s Artemis campaign and commercial development on the Moon, with the lander named Odysseus and carrying payloads for NASA and commercial partners. The mission aims to succeed where others have failed and is the first of three planned Nova-C flights under the CLPS contract.
