"NASA Successfully Releases Trapped Bennu Asteroid Sample"

NASA successfully removed two stuck fasteners from the sample return capsule of its OSIRIS-REx spacecraft, allowing access to rocks and dust collected from the asteroid Bennu. The team developed new tools to tackle the stubborn fasteners, ensuring the asteroid samples are not contaminated during processing. Once the disassembly is complete, the full sample will be weighed, and ultra-high-resolution pictures will be taken before distribution to the scientific community for further research. Studying samples from the primitive space rock Bennu could reveal new clues about our cosmic neighborhood.
