Curiosity Rover Gets Software Upgrade for Mars Exploration.

NASA's Curiosity rover has received a major software update, the first since 2016, which will allow it to drive faster on the Martian surface and reduce wear on its wheels. The update includes 180 software changes, with one of the most important being improved maneuverability. Curiosity can now take and process images of the Martian surface while autonomously navigating the terrain, saving time and energy.
