Chandrayaan-3 Lunar Lander's Fate Uncertain as Contact Lost

India's Chandrayaan-3 lunar lander has not responded to the Indian Space Research Organisation's wake-up call, but ISRO says it is not the end of the mission. Efforts are underway to reestablish communication with the lander and rover, which successfully landed on the lunar surface in August. Former ISRO Chairman K Sivan stated that although the design life of the lander and rover is over, there is still valuable data to analyze. Possible reasons for the communication failure include connectivity issues or battery depletion due to harsh lunar night conditions.
