"Nasa's Lunar Mission: Sending Humanity's Essence to the Moon"

Nasa's Artemis program plans to send 24 sapphire discs to the Moon, containing a repository of human knowledge including examples of mathematics, culture, art, and science, as well as human genomes. The discs, part of the Sanctuary On The Moon project, aim to serve as an inspiration for future generations and potentially visitors from elsewhere. Engraved with micropixels, the discs will be placed in a durable aluminium capsule and delivered to the Moon's surface using an automatic space probe under a contract with Nasa.
